It’s quiet at work today
When I had volunteers it was mad in here
Now they’ve gone away
Taken all the atmosphere
And it kind of breaks my heart
I don’t know how they are
I can’t expect things to be the same
Give it a year and they’ll forget my name
I miss their dramatic insights
Gossip and rumours, panics and fights
Those times have gone - better get used to it

Though it kind of broke my heart
You didn’t hear how we are

Withdrew my heart ‘cos it hurt so bad

I don’t feel how other girls feel
When I do I still say I’m okay
I don’t hold grudges and I don’t pick fights
What matters more to me is that you’re alright
But there are times when I can’t take your help
I’m remembering when I had to do it by myself.
